What Constitutes Ragging?

As per the AICTE/UGC/DCI Regulations & the Directions of Hon'ble Supreme Court
of India "Ragging" Constitutes one or more of any of the following Acts with or
without any intention by any Student or Group of Students;
- Any act of Indiscipline, Teasing or Handling with Rudeness.
- Any act that Prevents, Disrupts or Disturbs the Regular Academic Activity.
- Any activity which is likely to cause Annoyance, Hardships, Physical or Psychological Harm or creates Fear.
- Any act of Financial Extortion or Forceful Expenditure.
- Any Act of Physical Abuse causing Assault, Harm or Danger to Health or life.
- Any act of Abuse by Spoken Words, e-mail, SMS, MMS or Public Insult etc.
- Any act of Injury to the Fundamental Right to Human Dignity.
- Any act of Wrongful Confinement, use of Criminal Force Trespass or Intimidation.
- Any Unlawful Assembly or Abatement or Conspiracy to "Ragging".
Steps taken by ADGITM for Prevention of Ragging:
To prevent the menace of ragging, Anti-Ragging Committee has been constituted in the College. | रैगिंग करते पाए गए छात्र के खिलाफ सख्त कार्यवाही के लिए एंटी रैगिंग समिति का गठन किया गया हैं। |
Security guards have been deputed on every floor of the College to keep a check on those indulging in ragging. | रैगिंग करते हुए छात्र को पकड़ने हेतु विशेष सुरक्षाकर्मी कैंपस के प्रत्येक तल पर तैनात किये गए हैं। |
CCTV Cameras have been installed in various places like Canteen, Central Library and Main gate to monitor students. | रैगिंग करते हुए छात्र को पकड़ने हेतु (कैंटीन, कैंपस लाइब्रेरी,मेनगेट) आदि सभी जगहों पर सी. सी. टी. वी. कैमरे लगाये गए हैं। |
To curb the menace of ragging and to maintain discipline, Proctorial Board has also been formed in the College. | संस्थान मे अनुशाशन बनाये रखने एवं रैगिंग को रोकने के लिए अनुशाशन समिति का भी गठन किया गया हैं। |
Punishment to Those Found Guilty:
-
Any Student or Group of Students found guilty of "Ragging"
in the Campus or Hostels or College Buses or even outside the Campus shall be
liable for one or more of the following Punishment;
- Suspension from Attending Classes and Academic Privileges.
- Debarring from Appearing in any Sessional Test/University Examination.
- F.I.R. against the Concerned Student or Group of Students.
- Withdrawing Scholarship and other Benefits.
- Fine upto Rs. 25000/-to the Concerned Student or Group of Students.
- Rustication from the Institution for a period of One to Four Semesters.
- Expulsion from the Institution and also Debarring from Admission to any other Institution through University.
- Entry in the Character/Transfer Certificates regarding the Punishment given for any Act of "Ragging".
